Whether you’re looking for a quick meal, breakfast that your kids will love, appetizers for a get-together, Heart Healthy menu options or delicious desserts and ice creams, Schwans has it all. The best part is that Schwans delivers right to your door, with deliveries to Homewood every 2 weeks! Do you have friends or family members that live out of state? Schwans is a national company, so let them know that they can order, and help out our campaign as well! Homewood PTA will earn 20% of all product sales and 40% of all gift cards sales until April 6, 2017. Please consider ordering from this campaign, as all proceeds go directly back to the students at all three schools, in the form of enrichment activities and assemblies.

Warm holiday greetings to the Homewood school community. It’s hard to believe that the 201 6/17 school year is almost half way through! The Homewood PTA is delighted to continue to play an integral role in the social and educational development of our children in District 153. This, however, could not be possible without awesome volunteers like you.
Whether you served as a book fair volunteer, PBIS WOW cart, graduation gown measurement, provided delicious treats for teachers and administrators, do AVIC presentations, wore the bee costume, helped with or supported our fundraisers, or simply signing up to be a member of the PTA, every aspect of what you do, embody the very spirit of our PTA.
In addition to welcoming our new families, we also welcome new members to the PTA Board who, along with returning Board members, are making tremendous contributions of their time and talent, to see to the effectiveness and continuity of this organization. There are still many volunteer opportunities available.
Our next General Meeting will be January 12, 2017. Special guests will be members of the H-F High School administration, and the H-F Parent Association. Pertinent information regarding transitioning to, and navigating the rigors of high school will be communicated. There will also be opportunities for you to get your questions answered. Please join us.
Thank you all for your continued support of the Homewood PTA. Have a blessed holiday season.
President, Homewood PTA
The kids are all home from school this week and there is snow everywhere. Help the kids beat the boredom and do something other than play on electronics by letting them express their creativity. PTA Reflections is a program from the PTA designed to engage students in the arts.
So what is Reflections?
A new theme to draw creativity out of the students is given each year. This year’s theme is Let Your Imagination Fly and that’s truly what students should do. Students should give their imaginations free rein to develop this idea.
We’re interested, now what?
REFLECT on the theme. CREATE art. BE RECOGNIZED!
Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade students are encouraged to submit original works of art in one or more of the following categories:
(General rules can be found in English here or Spanish here. Click on each link for specific rules.)
